Background/Player Snapshot: Spent two seasons at Washington State before transferring to Miami last season. Good height with marginal weight. Solid play speed and athleticism. Diagnoses plays quickly and pursues with controlled burst. Great ability to fill gaps with force. Shows solid acceleration to the sideline and delivers some nastiness upon arrival. Serviceable in zone coverage, watching the QB's eyes to block throwing lanes. Can sometimes take a bit to disengage bigger lineman blocks due to his lighter weight. Could benefit from a lower strike zone as a tackler, hitting a little high at times. Questionable COD skills versus shiftier pass catchers in man. Overall, a hard-hitting ILB that is an asset in pursuit and gap filling.

Background/Player Snapshot: Hernandez is an experienced player that has led the Valencia Firebats to three-straight Champions Bowl wins (2022-24). He also was a standout performer for Spain at the 2024 IFAF Men's Flag Football World Championships in Finland. He led Spain to a Round of 16 appearance before succumbing to Mexico 42-31.
