ELF Eastern Conference Starting QB Breakdown
After the completion of the 2023 European League of Football (ELF) season, ALL22’s scouts did a thorough ranking of every position group in the league. This was used as an evaluation tool and resource for the understanding of this ever-growing league. With that in-depth analysis from our pro-trained scouts, we will refer back to those rankings in spots to help readers gain context, along with detailed player descriptions. We hope this is an added layer for scouts and readers from all our leagues and countries that are evaluating the ELF for potential player additions or insights.
The ELF is a growing force in the global football landscape and features a ton of European and American players with high-level pro experience. With the 2024 ELF season now having started, today we’re looking at the current Eastern Conference starting quarterbacks.

2021 All-Star
Background: Sullivan started his pro run in the GFL with the Marburg Mercenaries in 2019. He was nominated as an all-star in his lone season. He then made the switch to the ELF first with the Vienna Vikings. He would get his first meaningful action in 2021 with the Frankfurt Galaxy, ultimately starting three seasons there. In his first year with Berlin, he currently leads the ELF in passing yards this season (1,120). He was ALL22’s #10 ranked QB of 18 qualifiers last season.

Player snapshot: Good athlete, quick-twitch inside the pocket to extend plays with the foot speed to run for first downs. Has good decision-making skills and decisiveness on RPOs/quick game concepts. Has a very quick release and good accuracy to allow his receivers to run after the catch. One of the more accurate throwers on the run in the league, applying terrific velocity by torqueing his body to fit tight windows. Will start to leave clean pockets early when facing a lot of pressure and puts himself into trouble. On deeper full-field progressions, he struggles to work through reads with the same decisiveness, staring down his target for too long.
QB Karé Lyles (Prague Lions) - Jackson State University (2021) / Southern Illinois University (2019-20) / Scottsdale CC (2018) / University of Wisconsin (2016-17)

ELF Career Stats: 4 GP | 2 GS | 49 CMP | 98 ATT | 606 YDS | 50.0% | 5 TD | 3 INT | 6.18 YPA | 17 CAR | -25 YDS | -1.47 YPC
ELF Player Awards: N/A
Background: After a well traveled college career, Lyles joined the New Yorker Lions in the GFL in 2023. He had 1,745 passing yards and 23 touchdowns in 11 games, leading his squad to the semi-finals. He now debuts in the ELF with Prague, hoping to guide the team to a successful 2024 campaign.

Player snapshot: Below average height, but with good pocket presence to stay square under duress. A natural thrower, with a nice ability to change his arm angle, especially on the run. Shows solid accuracy in the short areas with the ball out well on timing routes. Not the biggest, but a live enough arm to stretch the defense. Shows some COD and contact balance to escape the pocket and threaten. Needs to work on his full-field progressions and anticipation in the intermediate to deep areas, often just a smidge late in open windows.
