Draft Eligible
OLB/SAF Alex Raich - University of Kansas (2023-24) / Golden West College (2021-22)
Citizenship: Switzerland
Height: 6030e | Weight: 225e
Career Stats: 25 GP | 5 TOT | 3 SOLO | 2 AST
Notable Player Awards: N/A
Background/Player Snapshot: Transferred to Kansas following his sophomore season at Golden West College. Did not see game action last season for the Jayhawks, but debuted this year. Good height with marginal weight at LB. Good play speed and athletic skills. Smooth mover who relies on his quicks to pursue to the ball. Reads it and hits it forward with immense burst, arriving with solid force. Can get stalled when strong blockers latch on him inside. He's comfortable strafing in zone space and shows solid range to the sideline in route closure. As a rusher, he relies on his speed and quick COD, at times lacking a real rush plan. Could offer ST value due to his speed and pursuit. Overall, a rotational OLB that can give you SAF versatility, while succeeding in specific speed/movement needed situations.
