Notable Offensive Players That Should Be in the ELF This Season
After the completion of the 2023 European League of Football (ELF) season, ALL22’s scouts did a thorough ranking of every position group in the league. This was used as an evaluation tool and resource for the understanding of this ever-growing league. With that in-depth analysis from our pro-trained scouts, we will refer back to those rankings in spots to help readers gain context.
After about three-quarters of the season now being completed, today we’re going to be looking at some notable offensive players that had big seasons last year, but are not in the ELF in 2024.
For further details, film, contact info, and more testing information please refer to player’s profiles on the ALL22 scouting app, or contact Samit Bariana.

Background: Martin Jr. got his first pro gig in the National Arena League (NAL) with the Massachusetts Pirates before spending 2020 in the Indoor League with the Spokane Shock. He then played with the Vienna Vikings in the Austrian Football League and the Carolina Cobras in a return to the NAL. He spent some of 2023 with the LFA’s Reyes de Jalisco before jumping to the ELF with Fehervar midseason. He had an incredible impact in only four games, averaging over a hundred yards per game. It was good enough to finish as ALL22’s second-best WR out of 54 qualifiers.
Video:
Player snapshot: Lining up all over the formation, he uses terrific releases to drive into top speed quickly. Great control and balance in his routes, giving no tells. Reads leverage and plants efficiently to sell fakes. Explodes out of the break and has ready hands. Tracks the ball well and makes ridiculous catches in traffic, leaping over everyone. Hands are exquisite, often one-handing the ball. Smooth hips and agility in YAC, often making the first tackler look silly. Can check out mentally when he knows the play isn’t for him, often not selling the DB on anything. Not a good blocker, often just lightly jogging in the way of the defender.
QB Preston Haire - Oklahoma Baptist University (2016-21)
Citizenship: USA
Height: 5111v | Weight: 200v | Hand: 8 4/8v | Arm: 29 6/8v | Wingspan: 71 6/8v | 40: 4.71v | 10: 1.58v | 20: 2.73v | Shuttle: 4.38v | 3-Cone: 7.33v | Broad: 09’07”v | Vertical: 37v | Bench: N/A
ELF Career Stats: 8 GP | 7 GS | 135 CMP | 220 ATT | 61.3% | 1,619 YDS | 12 TD | 6 INT | 7.36 YPA | 58 CAR | 349 YDS | 5 RUSH TD | 6.02 YPC
ELF Player Awards: N/A
Background: After he received an invitation to a minicamp of the New Orleans Saints in 2022, Haire signed with the ELF’s Hamburg Sea Devils last season. He had a great season that was cut short by a shoulder injury. ALL22 graded him as the third-best QB out of 18 qualifiers in 2023.
Video:
Player snapshot: Lacks the ideal height, but has a solid build for his frame. Very good athlete with the mobility to extend plays outside of the pocket with very good open-field acceleration to run for chunk-yardage. Highly efficient quick-game passer with very good decisiveness. Possesses very good accuracy and arm strength. Very good touch to layer his throws in the short to intermediate areas of the field. Doesn’t manipulate cover defenders with his eyes and struggles to be as decisive of a thrower when working deeper full-field progressions. Due to his lack of height, he has balls batted down at the LOS when he doesn’t have a clear passing lane.
RB Florian Wegan
Citizenship: Austria
Height: 5060e | Weight: 200e
ELF Career Stats: 18 GP | 7 GS | 196 CAR | 1,087 YDS | 10 TD | 5.55 YPC | 2 FMB | 6 REC | 7 TGTS | 48 YDS | 1 REC TD | 8.00 YPR
ELF Player Awards: N/A
Background: Wegan got his pro start in the AFL with the AFC Dacia Vienna Vikings in 2020. In 2021, he led the AFL in rushing yards (810) and rushing touchdowns (9). He then moved over to the ELF with the Vienna Vikings in 2022. He finished as ALL22’s fourth-best RB out of 19 qualifiers in 2023.
Video:
Player snapshot: Short and thick back who possesses good speed and foot quickness. Has enough burst to beat defenders to the edge and shows patience, letting blocks develop. His contact balance is very good due to his strength, consistently breaking tackles. Above average blocker who is rarely utilized as a receiver. Wegan projects as a good starter and a key part of an offense.
OG Washney Elas
Citizenship: France
Height: 6000e | Weight: 275e
ELF Career Stats: 11 GP | 9 GS
ELF Player Awards: N/A
Background: Elas signed with his native Paris Musketeers last season for his first pro gig. He received strong marks from ALL22, grading out as the 12th-best interior lineman out of 41 qualifiers.
Video:
Player snapshot: A guard with a short stature and filled out frame. Good athlete with lateral quickness. Keeps a good base in pass protection, but can struggle to recover inside. Showcases strong and disruptive punches. Latches onto rushers well and stays engaged throughout the duration of the play. Drops his hips well to absorb bull rushes. Good leg drive when run blocking. Fires his hands well and stays sticky on blocks. Despite being slightly undersized, his strength and technique, both as a run and pass blocker, make him an above average interior lineman.
