Standout Offensive Skill Players Through the First Half of the ELF Season
After the completion of the 2023 European League of Football (ELF) season, ALL22’s scouts did a thorough ranking of every position group in the league. This was used as an evaluation tool and resource for the understanding of this ever-growing league. With that in-depth analysis from our pro-trained scouts, we will refer back to those rankings in spots to help readers gain context, along with detailed player descriptions. We hope this is an added layer for scouts and readers from all our leagues and countries that are evaluating the ELF for potential player additions or insights.
The ELF is a growing force in the global football landscape and features a ton of European and American players with high-level pro experience. With the 2024 ELF season now having started, today we’re looking at the best offensive skill performers through the halfway point of the regular season.

He then spent 2022 in the Italian Football League for the Milano Seamen. Castle is picking up exactly where he left off last year, where he led the league in every major receiving statistic with the Munich Ravens. He currently leads the ELF in receiving yards, is third in receptions and is tied for fifth in receiving TD’s. He was ALL22’s #1 graded WR last season.
Video:
Player snapshot: An elite playmaker with a versatile skillset. Showcases elite athletic ability and play speed with a different gear at this level. Very little wasted movement in his routes, using quick head and foot fakes to gain leverage. Constantly makes the first man miss after the catch and uses a strong stiff arm to finish with a purpose.
QB Reilly Hennessey (Stuttgart Surge) - Central Washington University (2017-18) / Eastern Washington University (2014-16)
Citizenship: USA/Italy
Height: 6036e | Weight: 220e

ELF Player Awards: N/A
Background: Hennessey got his pro start in the Italian Football League with three seasons with the Parma Panthers. He then spent two years with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, capturing the 2022 German Bowl MVP. He debuted in the ELF last season with Stuttgart, as ALL22 ranked him as the 4th best QB out of 18 qualifiers. He has had a tremendous start to this season, leading Stuttgart to a perfect 5-0 start. He currently leads the league in passing TD’s, with only one interception and he’s currently second in completion percentage, third in passing yards and fifth in yards per attempt.
Video:
Player snapshot: Sneaky good athlete who shows the ability to run for first downs when needed with good open-field acceleration. Plays with very good decisiveness, anticipation, and accuracy when attacking the short to intermediate levels of the field. Displays elite poise in the face of pressure, being able to stand in the pocket with rushers coming down on him to deliver the ball accurately. Shows issues being as decisive on deeper dropbacks, holding onto the ball too long and missing his opportunity. Despite having good arm strength to stretch the field, doesn’t show consistent deep accuracy and flashes ball placement issues on touch throws that require him to layer his throw.

Background: From 2016-17, Toonga played for the London Blitz before spending 2018-19 with the Dresden Monarchs in the GFL. He spent 2020 with Lowlanders Bialystok, where they reached the Polish Bowl. He returned to the GFL in 2021 with the Allgäu Comets before joining the ELF’s Hamburg Sea Devils in 2022. He’s been with the Rhein Fire since last year, where ALL22 graded him as the second best RB out of 19 qualifiers. He’s having a strong 2024 thus far, leading the league in rushing yards, carries, and rushing TD’s.
Video:
Player snapshot: Thick power back with excellent vision and patience to let blocks develop. Toonga hits the hole with authority, playing with naturally good leverage and strength to break tackles. He is a capable pass blocker, consistently putting his body on the line. His speed is average, limiting his impact in the open field.
TE Adrià Botella Moreno (Wroclaw Panthers) - University of Sioux Falls (2014-17)
Citizenship: Spain
Height: 6060e | Weight: 251e

He’s played with Vienna, Paris and now Wroclaw, leading TE’s in receiving yards in 2024. He was graded as the ELF’s best TE last season by ALL22.
Video:
Player snapshot: An excellent sized TE with a complete skillset. Moreno possesses good athleticism and route running savvy, allowing him to create separation. Consistently wins contested catch situations. Not a killer in the run game, but was more willing and effective in 2023. Fits into any offense that prioritizes the position in the passing game.
